keriThis weeks Dating tip from Keri Newell:

Here it is again – the “love” day.

If you are in a relationship you might get excited as this date approaches. For a single gal, this date can be upsetting – reminding you of just how “single” you really are.

Here are a few tips to make this day more enjoyable:

  • Make plans with a friend so you are not alone.
  • Treat yourself to a mani/pedi or get a massage.
  • Decide to venture out and attend a party or singles event.
  • Last but not least, you still have time to meet a man! Place a profile online with,,, or any other dating site. Attend any singles events, speed dating, or participate in a hobby you enjoy where there will be men.

The good news is that Valentine’s Day is only one day. Make sure that you enjoy yourself – with or without a man!!

This weeks Relationship tip:

Valentine’s Day is a little over a week away! You may be excited about what your man has planned because he has proven to be thoughtful when it comes to celebrating this day of love.

Although for some of you, it may be a frustrating or disappointing holiday. Maybe he used to remember or be more generous and now it seems he treats it like a duty or burden. If you fall into the 2nd catagory, here is something you are going to want to begin doing – right away:

Admire and appreciate what he offers and does for you.

He needs to know that what he does makes you happy and he will be compelled to repeat his actions. If he does you a favor or offers to help you, happily accept and let him know verbally how wonderful he is. This will go a long way and keep him giving to you.

I’ve never been in a relationship on Valentine’s Day before, so I’m excited. I hope he doesn’t get bored with it if we’re still dating next year. I’ll have to remember this for the future.
