Fall is starting out with a bang. I am thrilled to be working with many of you on your luscious fall wardrobes. Now is the time to spring into action and get the goods while they are available.

I am meeting so many of my former costume design colleagues in the stores and it is somewhat comical to be vying for the same items. They are grabbing up for their actors as I am for my clients. Sometimes we are after the same pieces, so speed and agility are required.

Going very global lately with virtual consultations from countries such as India and New Zealand. Thank goodness for timeanddate.com! I love learning about other cultures and lifestyles. The common denominator is that everyone wants to look their ultimate best no matter where they live.

Today ‘s article is about accessories for Fall that can add spice and sparkle to your outfits:

Must have Fall Accessories to Spice and Sparkle Your Wardrobe

Weather is cooling down in many parts of the country now and I know I am itching to wear a cape!

Here are my best picks for accessories

The collar necklace is back. Make a statement with it. Either in gold or silver metal. The Art Nouveau look is here too.

Chunky and big still going strong

Drops in every size, material and color

The fur neck warmer is BIG. Make mine a fake though! Try a fabric scarf in an animal or southwestern print

Soft brimmed fur-felt kinda have a 70’s vibe, berets and cloches reminiscent of the 30’s

The chunk heeled loafer is the show of the season. Also the move to a single sole pump.

Chunky, curved heels are the latest look
Flats a must and there are mannish laceups
Sandals are dancing into a fall evening look
Leather, velvet, snake and mixed textures prevail

Just about anything goes but here are the main ones

Funky Frankenstein-like, big platform
Tall riding boots with flat heels
Slouchy 1/2 boots

Hose and tights:
Patterns still going strong but not the best look for a more conservative office look. Plain tights are classic.

Kate Middleton is bringing back the shiny leg with nude hose.

More structured, boxy shapes this season. Think doctor bag style

Less hardware.

Blast with a autumnal color such as rust, mustard, teal, red or stick with a neutral. Leather, python snake print and ponyhair.

Patchwork and color block will really kick up your look a notch

Make Up:
RED HOT red lips
Nude look on remainder of face

You’ll look great this fall!
