moiraHi, this is your friend Moira Shepard with this week’s Miracle Minute.

Here is a thought from American psychologist and author Leo Buscaglia:

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring – all of which have the power to turn a life around.

In our drive to get ahead, we sometimes leave ourselves behind. So we reach a level of achievement and it feels like a hollow triumph, because our sense of Self has gone missing.

In our frenzy to complete one project and get on to the next, we forget to take a moment to acknowledge ourselves and our efforts. Thus, we get things done, yet a sense of accomplishment eludes us.

In our struggle to increase our wealth and status, we forget to appreciate who we are right now. Thus, we’re rarely graced by a sense of satisfaction or contentment.

Small acts of caring like these tend to disappear when we lead hectic lives. Who has time to do them? Yet they help us feel life is worth living.

Would you like to know who you are and how to live your life in a state of Grace at all times now?

Would you like to know how slowing down can make you far more productive and effective, and what it feels like to do that now?

Would you to know how appreciated all your efforts are, whether you think anyone notices them or not – and would you like to feel that appreciation now, in every cell of your body?

If so, say “Yes” out loud now* and feel the energy flowing in through the top of your head.

Now, notice how you feel. Notice what’s different about your life in the coming week. And if you give thanks for those changes, it will trigger more miracles.

That’s your Miracle Minute with Moira Shepard.
