Here is a thought from American author Madeleine L’Engle:
“When we were children, we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability … to be alive is to be vulnerable.”
Many of us put on an invisible suit of armor every day as automatically as we hit the “Snooze” button on the alarm, so we can face the day without going crazy or bursting into tears.
Behind this armor we hide our vulnerability: the part of us that’s wounded by harsh words and hateful actions; by indifference and greed; by the suffering of others shown on the nightly news, and more.
When we perceive life as a battle, we believe this armor keeps us safe.
That may be true as far as it goes- but it also deadens us to joy, to peace, to aliveness itself.
Would you like to know all the other ways to experience life besides as a battle, that serve your highest and best good now?
Would you like to feel safe and protected without your suit of armor – and to know what really keeps you safe?
Would you like to know who you are and how to live your life victoriously now, without ever having to go into battle again?
If so, say “Yes” out loud now* and feel the energy flowing in through the top of your head.
Now, notice how you feel. Notice what’s different about your life in the coming week. And if you give thanks for those changes, it will trigger more miracles.
