Hi, this is your friend Moira Shepard with this week’s Miracle Minute.
Here is a thought from Canadian philosopher and scholar Marshall McLuhan:
Most of our assumptions have outlived their uselessness.
Many of our beliefs about ourselves or our lives come from our experiences, our parents, and/or our peers.
Those beliefs seemed like a pretty good idea at the time. That’s why we took them on and, over time, embedded them in our identity.
Yet as times change – as we change – our assumptions remain in place. They’re so much a part of us we never think to examine them. They’re just part of the furniture in our minds.
And so our assumptions outlive their usefulness. Over time, they even outlive their uselessness. Still, we never think to examine them. We regard anything that challenges these assumptions as a threat. This is how stagnation of the soul begins.
Would you like to know, from the Creator’s perspective, the difference between your assumptions and your identity now? Would you like to know how safe it is for you to let go of old assumptions about what’s possible for you now? Would you like replace them with new ideas that now serve your highest and best good with ease and grace?
If so, say “Yes” out loud now* and feel the energy flowing in through the top of your head.
Now, notice how you feel. Notice what’s different about your life in the coming week. And if you give thanks for those changes, it will trigger more miracles.
That’s your Miracle Minute with Moira Shepard. Have a miraculous day!
