nameby Rori Raye

What’s in a name?

I used to hate my name.

Every time I heard a man say “Rori” it made me think of myself as a nerdy, wallflower-y, unsexy, unattractive little girl.

I felt embarrassed.

And I know that led me into the arms and beds of men who had nothing to offer me.

It was as though I wanted to be with them so they’d make me feel sexier, prettier, more fun, and “popular.”  It was as though I were trying to prove I deserved to even BE with a man.

How sad is that?

And yet, I know all of us STILL have some of that in the way we think of ourselves.

What Do You Think of When You Hear Your Name, or Say It to Yourself?

I wanted to take the occasion of a huge change in my own life to create a new Tool: Naming Yourself.

It will help you CHANGE EVERYTHING – which will help you lift up your feelings about yourself (especially when you’re in a challenging situation with a man), and so – will change your vibe, and the way men feel when they’re around you.

He’ll feel attracted! (He won’t know why – he’ll just feel compelled to be with you.)

What if YOU took on a new name?

Not necessarily publicly, but just for fun, for yourself?

We’ll do it together.

How to Name Yourself:

For instance, we could add: “A Goddess who deserves and will have, right now, beautiful, brilliant love from a wonderful man,” onto our name.

So, I’ll be Rori Raye, A Goddess who deserves and will have, right now, beautiful, brilliant love from a wonderful man, and you’ll be (your name), A Goddess who deserves and will have, right now, beautiful, brilliant love from a wonderful man!

Let me know how it feels to call yourself a Goddess, because you are! I know it!

Try a bunch of ideas.

Perhaps there are aspects of yourself you’d like to bring out more, like “Angel,” or “Warrior,” or “Peaceful.”

You can use that alone (like Rori Peaceful), or tack it on to the Goddess name, like Rori Angel Goddess.

You might even pick out some physical things to represent your new name and keep them around you and carry them with you.

That could be Goddess-inspired jewelry or a picture of an angel, a warrior, or a peaceful-spirited woman who inspires you.

Please write and let me know how trying on a new, powerful and beautiful name feels to you, and let me know how you’re doing.

Love, Rori
